Women.Weed.WiFi Feature in Broccoli Magazine

Our hair is more than a coveted aesthetic. Our braids hid maps to freedom, our braids connect us to ancient times and are a common thread weaving through the African Diaspora. I wrote a piece about the ritual of hair braiding for Black womxn by chronicling my experiences getting my hair did on three continents in issue 09 of Broccoli Magazine.
